WhatsApp is testing group voice chats feature

WhatsApp has added a group voice chat feature to its beta version for Android phones, which can support up to 32 people per session.

According to experts, WhatsApp is competing with Discord and Slack with this feature. The new voice chat icon is now available for beta testers and does not ring like a regular WhatsApp call. Instead, it is similar to Discord chat rooms, where users can dynamically get in and out of the chat.

WhatsApp also confirmed that all chats are end-to-end encrypted. The company has recently focused on enabling user privacy, such as locking chats and muting unwanted calls.

In recent months, WhatsApp has added several new features to its platform, such as the ability to send video messages and develop WhatsApp Business functions.
