YouTube tests new “For You” section on homepage

YouTube, owned by Google, has announced that it is testing a new “For You” section on the homepage. The section comes with new features and functionalities.

The company has stated through its official account that it is working on making the user experience more personalized and unique, as the new section adds many different video recommendations based on the user’s views and interests. Content creators will not be far behind, as they will be able to control what they want to show their audience in the “For You” section on their channels.

YouTube has also announced that it is testing an AI-powered summary feature that is supposed to provide users with a quick summary of a video and a statement of whether it suits them. However, YouTube noted that these summaries will not replace the descriptions that content creators write on their videos.

Finally, YouTube has provided a new “Q&A” sticker that allows creators to ask questions to their audience and get direct answers in the comments.
